4th South-Plain Folkmusic Camp in Ópusztaszer

Place: National Historical Memory Park in Ópusztaszer, Open-Air Folklore Museum
We teach folk music and folk songs from the South Hungarian Plain with qualified and authentic musicians in our camp, in the open-air museum.
Campers can also learn about the traditional rural communities, as they can take part in folklore lectures and workshops in the breaks between lessons. There are traditional balls in the evenings with live music.
Lessons: hurdy-gurdy, clarinet, voice, zither (music of the South Hungarian Plain) 2000 HUF/day
Teachers: Péter Lipták: clarinet; Pál Havasréti: hurdy-gurdy; Béla Szerényi: hurdy-gurdy; Béla Micsik: zither, Györgyi Zombori: voice, folk songs
Supplementary programmes: Open-air folklore museum, folk song and folk dance teaching, handcrafts and folklore workshops
Accommodation: Camping of Szer next to the park, in cottages with a double room (3780 HUF/cottage/night + 300 HUF tax /person/night) or in own tents (1050 HUF/person/night + 300 HUF tax /person/night)
"Dusty bench ball" in the evenings! (Don't leave your instrument at home.)
