Teaching - Course of music and hurdy-gurdy making
Working very hard recently, we were able to finish our house designed by our friend, Dezső Ekler, architect awarded by Ybl-prize, in a
way that now it is convenient enough to welcome guests. The four rooms of the house standing on the side of the River Danube can accommodate
12 persons; our room appropriate for giving chamber-concerts or organising exclusive exhibitions is convenient for 35-40 people.
Therefore, we broaden our family programmes with private and small group courses in which teaching process is formed
according to the demands of our guests.
Private and small group courses
The adjusting and the permanent repair of the hurdy-gurdy, and the basic playing techniques can be learnt in a few days.
I recommend this opportunity to those who have just bought a new instrument and would like the master himself to teach
them the basic elements of adjustment and maintenance, or to those who are interested in the musical possibilities fitting
to their level of knowledge and existing in their instrument.
Learning a hurdy-gurdy repertoire
This opportunity can also be important to those musicians who are interested in learning a hurdy-gurdy repertoire
that is not normally taught at other courses, or to those who are complete beginners and would not able to learn
the instrument at home or in a large group course.
Make your own instrument
It is possible to make your own instrument, too, for which I guarantee prepared timber and necessary equipment.
To make an instrument you will need about 8-10 days.
Our house is situated in one of the most beautiful recreation areas of Budapest, so besides learning, the place provides facilities
of relaxation and recreation of families. Sports, excursions, sightseeing, swimming pools, sauna, tennis courts, cycling, boat trips,
horse riding are all available.
The courses are held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day.
Hurdy-gurdy making: from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Price: 130 Euro/day/person with lunch.
All-inclusive: 170 Euro/day/person.
